A Million Dollar View that Will Cost You Nothing

Along Californias Coastal Trail.

Well, maybe some change in the parking meter.

A visit along Laguna Beach’s portion of the California Coastal Trail is a must-see for any visitor to SoCal. It is Laguna so it is picture-perfect. Heisler Park is a protected Tidepool Habitat with a beautiful beach.  This Pacific coastal park has plenty of handicap and stroller-friendly paved walkways with rails. There are ample public restrooms and areas for kids to run around and play. Art lovers will enjoy the sculptures throughout the grounds and everyone will enjoy the spectacular views.

During our visits we watched some brave/crazy surfers trying to catch waves surrounding some major rock outcroppings. While we did not see the Sea Lions that had been spotted in the area a few days earlier or any whales breaching, we did see dozens of cute bunnies, everywhere.

Just up the road, Crescent Bay Point Park is a lovely area for a picnic with lush grass and more amazing views.  A nearby walk leads down to another beautiful beach. I couldn’t believe I hadn’t visited these spots before my latest visit, I would go every day.

Tip:  Go late on a weekday for easy parking; the meters are in use til 7PM.
